HOW TO INSTALL YOUR Macintosh PRINTER DRIVERS
Caution! : For printing and scanning operations to work properly,
you will need to install BOTH the Brother Macintosh printer driver and the TWAIN
driver.
Before downloading a "hqx" file on your Macintosh, make sure you have StuffIt
Expander by Aladdin Systems, Inc..StuffIt Expander is necessary to access the
file's contents. If you do not have StuffIt Expander, you
can download it here as a freeware product.
- Please make a temporary folder on your HDD to save the downloaded self-extracting
file. e.g. brodrv
- Start downloading.
- Select the temporary folder as where to store the downloaded file.
- Double click on the downloaded file and then follow the instructions on
the screen.
- Make sure the printer power switch is on.
- Connect the USB interface cable to your Macintosh, and then connect it
to the printer.
- Run the Macintosh and open the Chooser from the Apple¨ menu on the Macintosh¨.
- Click on the HL-1200/MFL Pro icon and select it.
- Please confirm that the printer name , that you connected to the PC, is
selected. (If you cannot see your printer name, first make sure that your
cabling is correct.)
- Close the Chooser program.

Mac OS 8.6 - 9.2
- Hardware Requirements;
64MB of RAM is recommended. The PRINTER driver only supports Mac's having
a pre-installed USB port.
