1.Download the driver:

For Mac OS X 10.2* Users:
Click here to download the driver.
*Installing the driver into Mac OS X ver.10.2.0
causes the problem.Updating Mac OS X 10.2.0 to Mac OS X version 10.2.1 or
higher will solve this problem. Please go to the Apple WEB site to download
the update.
2.How to Install:
Once downloaded, double click on the file. Installer Disk Image is mounted
on your Desktop. You will find the icon BrotherXXXX.pkg on the desktop.
Note:
If you don't find the icon, please extract the downloaded file manualy
with "Disk Copy". "Disk Copy" can be found in /Applications/Utilities.
"dmg" is called "disk image file". This needs "Disk
Copy". By using "Disk Copy", the Installer Disk Image can be mounted.

Double-click the icon.

Follow the instructions.
Note:
The Installer will ask you to select a destination volume. - Please select
the same volume on which the Mac OS X 10.1 or 10.2 operating system
is installed.
For USB Users:
-
Switch off and unplug the product from the AC outlet
and disconnect it from your Macintosh if you already connected
an interface cable.

Turn on your Macintosh.

Connect the USB interface
cable to your Macintosh, and then connect it to the product.
Note:
Do not connect the product to a USB port on a keyboard or a non powered USB hub.
- Open the Print Center icon.
- Click Add Printer...
- Select USB.
- Select your machine, and then click Add.
- Select Quit Print Center
from the Print Center menu.
- The setup is now complete.
For Network Users:
Note:
For NC2100P Users whose product is not PostScript compatible, the following Network section is not applicable.

Switch off and unplug the product from the AC outlet and disconnect it from your Macintosh if you already connected an interface cable.

Turn on your Macintosh.

Connect the network interface cable to the product, and then connect it to a free port on your hub.

Turn on the product by plugging in the power cord.
Turn the power switch on.

Select Applications from the Go menu.
-
Open the Utilities
folder.
-
Open the print Center icon.
-
Click the Add Printer… button.
-
Select Apple Talk..
-
Select BRN_xxxxxx_P1, and then click the Add button.
( xxxxxx are the last six digits of the Ethernet address.)

Select Quit Printer Center from the Printer Center menu.

The setup is now complete.
