1.Installing the Driver

How to download the Scanner Driver

Download the target file to your Macintosh. Once downloaded, double click on the file. Installer Disk Image is mounted on your Desktop. You will find the icon "BrotherTWAIN.pkg" on the desktop.

NOTE:
If you don't find "BrotherTWAIN.pkg", please extract the downloaded file manualy with "Disk Copy". "Disk Copy" can be found in /Applications/Utilities.
"dmg" is called "disk image file". This needs "Disk Copy". By using "Disk Copy", the Installer Disk Image can be mounted.

2.How to install the Scanner Driver

Double-click the following file BrotherTWAIN.pkg.
Follow the instructions to complete the installation of the TWAIN driver.
Please note: If you are using Inkjet models, please be sure to copy the ColorSync profile
with your model name of your MFC in the folder "ColorSync Profiles" and paste the file under the "/Library/ColorSync/Profiles".

NOTE:
The Installer will ask you to select a destination volume.
Please select the same volume on which the Mac OS® X 10.2.1-10.3 or greater operating system is installed.

Computer Requirements:

Power Macintosh having a pre-installed USB port
128MB RAM (160MB recommended)
Mac OS® X 10.2.4 or higher is required.
