How to install

• This driver allows you to access the same features you would find on a Windows 2000 driver.
  To make your machine work with Windows XP, you need to install both driver and patch file
  from DOWNLOAD 1(on Step 2) and DOWNLOAD 2 (on Step 7) in order.
  
  
• This driver is PCL driver.
  
  
• If Windows 2000 driver has been already installed in your PC, please go to Step 6.

Download &  Install

1. Please make a temporary directory on your HDD to save the downloaded self-extracting file. 
    e.g. C:\brodrv 
2. Start the download procedure by clicking DOWNLOAD 1>>
3. Once downloading is complete, double click on the downloaded file to extract it.
4. The directories "DISK1- DISK4" will be created automatically. Double click on the "SETUP.EXE" in the "DISK1".
5. The installation will start. Please follow the instructions on the screens.
   

   The step does not finish here. Please be sure to continue to follow the instructions until the end of it.

   
   PLEASE NOTE:
   When installing the Brother printer driver into Windows(R) 2000, you may see the following error message on your screen:
   
   * Digital Signature Not Found

   Click the YES button to continue the installation. The driver will be installed onto your system.

   
   
6. Next, please download and install the Patch Program file following the instruction from step 7 to step 10.
   Please make a temporary directory on your HDD to save the downloaded self-extracting file. e.g.. C:\brodnt
7. Start the download by clicking DOWNLOAD 2 >>
8. Once downloading is complete, double click on the downloaded file to extract it.
9. Double click on "Setup.exe".
10. The dialog box appears, and then click "OK".
