IMPORTANT!
Please follow the steps below:
1. Uninstall the current driver.
2. Install the new driver.
1.Uninstall
For Windows® 95/98 users
If you are upgrading to Windows® 2000 from Windows® 95/98, we recommend that you first delete the existing printer driver from your system before performing the upgrade.
Once you have completed the upgrade to Windows® 2000, you may then install the Windows® 2000 printer driver.To delete the printer driver from Windows® 95/98, perform the following steps:
1. Select the "Uninstall" option within the program group that was created when you originally installed the Brother driver software.
2. Select the correct language you want.
3. Select the "Uninstall" option.
4. Select the correct printer and then click the Uninstall button.
5. Click the OK button when you see "the printer driver has been removed from your system" message.6. Restart your computer.
For Windows NT® 4.0 users
If you are upgrading to Windows® 2000 from Windows NT® 4.0, you must first delete the existing printer driver from your system before performing the upgrade.
Once you have completed the upgrade to Windows® 2000, you may then install the Windows® 2000 printer driver.To delete the printer driver from Windows NT® 4.0, perform the following steps:
1. Click Start and select printers in Settings.
2. Delete the appropriate printer driver.
3. Restart your computer.
2.Download & Install
To upgrade the new printer driver to Windows® 2000, perform the following steps:
1. Download the printer driver and the readme:
1. Please make a temporary directory on your HDD to save the downloaded self-extracting file.
e.g. C:\brodrv
2. Click the DOWNLOAD to start downloading the driver.
3. Select the temporary directory as where to store the downloaded file.
4. Extract the file.5. Click the PDF file to download the Readme.

2. Install the printer driver:
1. Print the Readme.
2. Install the driver following the Readme.
