How do I uninstall Windows2000 drivers that I installed before?
The Parallel drivers can be un-installed form your PC by performing the following procedure.
You must have Administrator rights to un-install the drivers.

NOTE:Please ignore the model name "MFC7150C" in the instructions. The Model Name varies on your model.

  1. Plug the Parallel cable.
  2. Go to the Printers folder under the Start/Settings selection.
  3. Select the Brother MFC7150C Printer Driver Icon.
  4. Delete the Icon by selecting File/delete.
  5. "Are you sure you want to delete these files now" will appear. Click YES.
  6. Open the Print Server Properties by selecting File/Server Properties.
  7. Click on the Drivers tab.
  8. Select the "Brother MFC7150C", then click REMOVE.
AND The MFC7150CINF file must be deleted to complete the un-install.
  1. Under c:\winnt\inf folder, find the "OEMx.inf" and "OEMx.pnf" file pairs (x is a number).
  2. Open each "OEMx.inf" and "OEMx.pnf" file pair and see if the "MFC7300C" is in one of the file pairs.
  3. Delete the three "OEMx.inf" and "OEMx.pnf" file pairs which have the "MFC7300C" listed.

HINT: If you can not see these files or folders in Windows Explorer, you may need to change your settings in Explorer.

  1. Under Folder Options for Windows Explorer select "View".
  2. Add a check mark to "Show hidden files and folders"
  3. Remove the check mark from "Hide file extensions for known file types".
