Install the USB drivers
NOTE!
1.Please do not stop the installation processes listed below in a halfway.
2.Please be sure to click "Yes" when Version Conflict screens appear.

1.Connect the MFC to the PC using the supplied USB Cable
- After you have set up the MFC and checked that it is working properly, make sure your MFC is turned on and your PC is turned off.
- Connect the USB cable to both the MFC and the PC.
2.Install USB and Printer Driver
- Turn on the PC and the "Add New Hardware Wizard" appears on its screen
- Please insert the Brother CD-ROM into your CD-ROM drive.
Make sure "Specify the location of the driver" is selected and click
Next.

- Click Browse and select the specified directory where the file was extracted.

- Select Win98usb in your CD-ROM drive and click OK.

- Click Next.

- Click Next.

- Select BRUSB:USB Printer Port,click Next to bypass the screen.

- Click Next.

- Click Finish.

NOTE! Even the Test Printing does not Start, please click "YES".

- Click Next.

- Click Next.

- Click Next.

- Click "Yes" 4 times.

- Click Finish.

- Again, "Add New Hardware Wizard" appears. Click Next.

- Follow the Screen instructions and click Finish.
- You finish intalling all drivers(for Printer, FaxModem and Scanner).
Install the Brother MFL Pro Software
- Please download the patch program file from the following link.
- Please reinsert the Brother MFL Pro CD-ROM and start the MFL installation program for the MFL CD-ROM.
(If the MFL Pro screen does not come up automatically, please select your CD-ROM directory in the Explorer and
double click Setup.exe file.)
- At the last step. Windows will ask you to restart your PC.
Please Click "NO"!!! Do not click "Yes".
- Please double click on the downloaded patch file.
- Please restart Windows when the message appears.
