Welcome to the Brother CreativeCentre! This user-friendly application allows you to easily create brochures, mailers, posters, greeting cards, calendars, and other personalized projects by using your own digital pictures and personal notes, with an intuitive and easy-to-use interface!
Getting Started
There are a number of tools provided in the working area to personalize your project. The tools will vary by categories.
- Click the down arrow icon next to the current selection to choose the paper type and size you want to use for printing.
- Click to create a new project.
- Click to go to the previous action. This is a useful tool if you made a mistake while working on your project.
- Click to redo your action.
- Click to add your personalized greeting.
- Click to insert a new page for your project.
- Click to delete the current page from your project.
- Click to change the order of pages in your project.
- Click to change the layout design for the current page.
- Click to preview your project.
- Click to save your project as an image file. Please note that once the project is saved as an image file, it will no longer be editable.
- Click to set various preferences for your Brother printer.
- Click to print your project with a Brother printer.
You'll need to select pictures from your local disk to add to your project. The Get Pictures icon launches the Select Pictures screen which enables you to add your photos to the picture bin.
In the "folder-tree" click on the file folder that contains your digital photos. Thumbnail images of the pictures in the folder will appear on the right screen. Select the images you want to add to your project. You can select multiple pictures by dragging a bounding box around a group of pictures or by holding the Shift and Control keys down as you click. Click Next to get back to your design template and continue with your project.
Launches the Select Pictures screen which enables you to quickly and easily browse and select pictures to add to your project. The selected files will be listed in the picture bin as thumbnails.
The pictures in the picture bin will be added to the project one by one from the very beginning. You can click the button several times until you are satisfied with the selection.
Use the Previous/Next button to view the front, inside or back of your greeting card to determine where you can insert your digital photos. Once you found the location, double-click the thumbnail of the selected photo in the Photo Bin, or directly drag and drop the picture to the desired location. You can also edit your digital images, if needed. Click on your photo and the picture toolbar will help to adjust or edit your photo images:
The following commands are available in the picture toolbar:
This icon launches the tool panel below to enhance the selected pictures.
These icons are used to reduce or enlarge the selected picture.
These icons rotate the selected picture counter-clock or clockwise..
You can turn the selected picture over horizontally to create a mirror image.
A dashed text box marks the area where you can enter your personalized message. Clicking on the text box will help you to add and edit your personal message. You can also move/rotate the selected text layer by clicking and dragging.
The following commands are available in the text toolbar.
This icon launches the text tools panel to modify the selected text layer. Standard text options include font, size, style, color, shadow effect, and alignment. Check the option "Apply font and style to all text" to apply the current settings to all text in your project.
These tools reduce or enlarge the selected text layer.
By clicking on these icons, you can rotate the selected text layer clockwise or counterclockwise.

In addition to your personal photos and personalized message, you can also select other elements, such as embellishments, frames and patterns, to further customize your project.
These elements are located under the Photo Bin on the left side of the Design screen, where you can view thumbnails of these creative contents.
Double click the element (Embellishment, Frame or Pattern Paper) you want to add to your design, and the selected content will be added to your current project as an individual layer. You can also select an element, and drag and drop it to the desired location in your project.
The Elements toolbar below will help to adjust the additional contents you added to your design:
Reduces or enlarges the selected picture.
Rotates the selected picture counter-clock or clockwise.
Selected picture is flipped horizontally.
Changes the order of layers by moving the selected element forward or backward.
Removes the selected item.
You can preview your work before it is sent to your printer. On the Preview screen you can select your printer, change the paper size, set your print range, change your print setup and determine how many copies you want to print. For more printer-related options, click the Print Setup button.
In the Design screen, click on "Save As" if you would like to save your project as an image file. Your project will be stored on My Pictures, and saved as a JPEG file (by default), or a TIFF or BMP (bitmap) file. Note, that once the project is saved as an image file, you won't be able to modify it.
In the Design screen, click Print to send your current project to your Brother printer.
