Kakuro Instructions
Kakuro is a game about numbers. But unlike Sudoku it does require some mathematical reasoning.
Each Kakuro game consists of black and white squares, similar to crossword puzzle. You need to fill in the white squares with a number from 1 to 9.
Follow these guidelines:
1. Enter a number in the white cells so that they add up to the total of the black box on the grid. (If the given sum is 4 and the answer consists of two cells, the possible solutions are 1-3 or 3-1. You cannot use 2-2 as a solution, since you would use the number 2 twice.)
2. A number in the bottom half of the grid indicates a vertical total, while a number in the top half is the horizontal total.
3. Horizontal and vertical sections can only contain each number once.
