CSR management is practiced in our aggressive undertaking of social contribution activities.
The Brother Group positions social contribution activities as a part of CSR management practices. We aim to implement such activities on a continual basis working from a PDCA cycle.
In FY2008, the Brother Group intend to give back to countries and regions where we do business via aggressive activities that put brother's resources to use and activities that employees sympathize with and lead to a sense of pride for them. |

Various social contribution activities were conducted in each region as a part of CSR management.
- •Efforts were made to solve social issues in local communities in Japan and the UK, such as by providing jobs as well as support for entrepreneurs doing business in various areas that address social issues.
- •Programs were implemented with Brother resources such as a "Parent-and-Child Product Making Class" with Brother products.
- •Brother offices got involved in projects designed to meet the specific needs of their hosting local communities, e.g., charity events in the USA in which employees took part, sponsoring a sporting event in Singapore in cooperation with an NPO for youth development, empowerment support for women in rural areas of China, etc.
- •Brother provided aid for major disasters including donations for the earthquake in Sichuan, China.
