Brother Establishes a New Company as Sales Headquarters of
Domestic Sewing Machine Business in Europe

Brother Industries, Ltd. (President: Toshikazu Koike) announced that it has established a new company in Germany, as a subsidiary of the Brother Group, which is to function as sales headquarters of its domestic sewing machine business in Europe, becoming operational this autumn. By establishing a company dedicated exclusively to domestic sewing machine business all across Europe, the Brother Group is aiming to expand sales of mid- and high-end models of them and achieve growth in the emerging markets, as well as making efforts to enhance efficiency of operations.

In Europe, under the Brother Group’s European headquarters located in UK, sales and customer services of domestic sewing machines have so far been handled in each local sales company as its one division. The new sales company, as being responsible exclusively for sales, services and marketing of domestic sewing machines all over Europe, will set to organize and strengthen these sales networks, and flexibly conduct domestic sewing machine business throughout the region.
With a strategy that is focused on increasing sales of mid- and high-end models in the Western European markets and strengthening sales structure in the emerging markets such as Russia and Middle & Eastern Europe, based on its consistent business management, the Brother Group will work to further enhance its competitiveness in the domestic sewing machine business in European markets.
