Brother Industries, Ltd. (President, Toshikazu Koike, hereinafter Brother) has won a German international award "iF Product Design Award 2012" (hereinafter iF design award) for four of its latest products: two mono laser All-in-Ones, a label printer, and its overlock sewing machine.

The iF product design award is hosted and judged by the iF-International Forum Design, in Hannover, Germany. This is one of the most prestigious international design competitions and has been running since 1953. It is recognized around the world and judged not only on external appearance of the product, but also on criteria such as functionality and environmental performance.
Now in its 59th year, the iF Product Design Award 2012, received 4322 entries from 48 countries. This is the fifth consecutive year Brother has been named as an iF Design Award winner and has now received a total of 32 awards, including the four new awards for 2012.
We are extremely honored to receive these awards. Brother continuously makes efforts to pursue improvements in design quality and product innovation, and we are pleased to gain international recognition for this in the iF design awards.
