Job Logging
This is a great monitoring tool and can be used to keep track of high volume print users and the types of documents they print. It stores information to a folder on a network CIFS server about print jobs, including the number of pages it contained, the user and the data, and time it was sent.
Kerberos
A network protocol that offers a more secure way of scanning documnents directly to a folder on your network. It uses special encrypted tickets when accessing and exchanging information from a Kerberos server, making it safer than using standard user names and passwords. It also provides a more secure way of job logging (via CIFS).
Secure Function Lock
Secure Function Lock allows an administrator to select the various functions per each user (up to 25 users) via password. These functions include printing, copying, faxing (send & receive), scanning and USB Direct Interface.*
* Functions vary by model
Secure PDF
You can scan documents using Secure PDF to password protect sensitive documents.
Secure Print Feature
Ensures that confidential or sensitive documents do not print until a password is entered via the machine’s control panel.
Secure Socket Layer (SSL)
SSL helps prevent hackers from reading your sensitive print data as it is sent across the network. Using SSL communication an electronic certificate and private key are installed on your machine. Your encrypted print data will not be printed unless the certificate and key match between the print data and the machine.
SNMPv3 (Simple Network Management Protocol Version 3)
SNMP is used when sending management information to network devices, such as firmware upgrade instructions or configuration updates through programs like BRAdmin. SNMPv3 provides user authentication and data encryption to securely manage network devices.
