Development, Design and Production Engineering

To give shape to new values that customers demand in the form of new products and features, simulations and monitor tests are run over and over again before and after prototyping. Development and design are organized for speed, efficiency and to deliver high quality. And, by making the best use of production engineering such as our super precision machining, we are turning the values that customers seek into products.

Development & Design : Color Laser All-in-One
Created an even more compact Color Laser All-in-One by adopting LED technology

LE Development Dept., Brother Industries, Ltd.
Brother's All-in-Ones, with the all-round capabilities of a printer, copier, fax machine, and scanner integrated into one unit compact enough to be placed anywhere, are used in offices around the world. As a pioneer of printer equipment for the SOHO market, we staked the challenge of making our color models more compact. We adopted LED (Light Emitting Diode) technology for the exposure method for the first time to further reduce product height. Although we struggled to adjust picture quality on the micron level and faced unexpected problems, we did a series of tests and solved the problems. As a result, we successfully decreased height of the MFC-9120CN to 40.1cm, and provided customers with more choices when it comes to color All-in-Ones.
